A modern deco home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This sprawling 6000 square foot residence in the sky was designed by seamlessly merging two apartments, creating more substantial living and entertainment spaces throughout the home. Our client wanted to embrace a more colorful palette that would play with the deco cityscape of historic Ocean Drive and meld with the rich blue hues of the sea and sky. We created this by strategically using unexpected pops of color throughout the space, while remaining faithful to the natural blue backdrop. A grand blue mirrored wall straight away establishes the mood in the foyer, echoed throughout the residence as you’re led into the dramatic living room with a 22-foot round custom rug, vivid tile patterns prominent in bathroom feature walls, and incorporating over-sized terrazzo tiles for the main flooring, while using decorative recessed round ceiling details to pay homage to the building’s Art Deco DNA.
